Job Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment within the facility, ensuring optimal functionality of all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment inspections and address issues promptly
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all machinery
• Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvement
• Manage the selection, procurement, and ordering of materials for maintenance tasks
• Organize routine and emergency maintenance work on production equipment
• Diagnose issues by observing machinery operation, listening for irregularities, and using precision testing instruments
• Disassemble machinery to remove faulty parts, utilizing hand tools, cranes, hoists, and power tools
• Fabricate or modify parts using machine shop tools and equipment
• Coordinate and lead relevant training sessions (e.g., safety protocols, forklift operation)
• Ensure all work is performed according to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Communicate effectively with management, production staff, and the team to coordinate projects and solve issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks and repairs
• Participate in emergency response situations outside regular working hours
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines
• Follow PPE and GMP standards at all times
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and safe
• Execute additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn new skills and become self-sufficient
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with team members
• Proficient in gathering and communicating information clearly, both orally and in writing
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and kneeling for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 175 lbs when needed
• Flexible and adaptable to varying work hours

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and machinery repair
• Experience with both low and high voltage electrical systems (a plus)
• Sanitary welding experience (a plus)
