Maintenance Repairer

Role Overview:

The Maintenance Repairer is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment within the facility, ensuring smooth operations of all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect machinery and systems, making necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Plan and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all equipment.
• Review production processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Order and manage materials required for maintenance tasks and projects.
• Coordinate the repair and ongoing maintenance of production equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems, utilizing testing tools and observation.
• Disassemble faulty parts and use tools such as hoists, cranes, and power tools for repairs.
• Manufacture replacement parts using machine shop equipment.
• Conduct and organize training programs, such as safety and forklift operation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with management and team members to coordinate projects and address issues.
• Document all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Provide emergency response outside regular working hours as needed.
• Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Ability to accurately gather and communicate information verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 175 lbs when necessary.
• Flexibility with work hours as needed.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and machinery repair.
• Experience with low and high voltage electrical systems is a plus.
• Sanitary welding skills are a plus.
