Electrician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, conveyors, and lighting
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and repairs
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to address equipment and process needs
- Document work performed, including maintenance records and repair logs
Electrician Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Formal training or certification in electrical systems preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in food production
- Knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24 to 480 volts
- Proficiency in using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and electrical codes
- Primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or with electrical systems under power
- Personal protective equipment must be worn as required
