Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized critical care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in a high-acuity setting. This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage post-operative cardiac surgery patients, hemodynamically unstable patients, and those requiring ventilator support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac patients, including those recovering from open-heart surgery, CABG, valve replacements, and other cardiovascular procedures.
Perform continuous monitoring of telemetry, hemodynamic status, and ventilator management.
Administer vasoactive drips, inotropic support, and pain management per physician orders.
Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care plans with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Assess, document, and evaluate patient progress while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based practices.
Educate patients and families about post-operative care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
Ensure a safe and healing environment while maintaining high patient care standards in line with ICU protocols.
Supervise and delegate duties to nursing support staff as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in an acute care setting preferred
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Require
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Require
Critical Care Certification (CCRN) - Preferred

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
