What you will do
Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are responsible for the testing and documenting the results of fire protection systems according to NFPA standards.
How you will do it
· Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
· Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on water based sprinkler systems and their components.
· Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.
· Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
· Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer.
· Complete assigned inspections on time.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
Preferred:
· 1-3 years of experience with sprinkler systems
· NICET I or II Certification (based on experience)
· Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
· Able to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
Required:
· Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
· Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 pounds
· Must be able to work on lifts and ladders
· Must be able to work as part of a team
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements
· Must be available to participate in a scheduled after hours on-call rotation
· Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
· Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all time
